1938
Fred Jones Manufacturing Company began with four men reconditioning engines and component parts in a 400-square-foot corner of Jones’s Oklahoma City automobile dealership.
1947
Fred Jones opens new plant in Oklahoma City to rebuild Ford, Lincoln and Mercury products.
1956
Fred Jones Manufacturing passes 100,000 remanufactured engines.
1986
Fred Jones surpasses ONE MILLION remanufactured engines.
1997
Fred Jones Manufacturing Company purchased its U.K. facility and the remanufacturing section of Fred Jones Manufacturing was renamed Autocraft Industries.
1998
Autocraft Industries was purchased by Aftermarket Technology Company (ATC)
2008
Company renamed ATC Drivetrain, Inc when Aaron’s Automotive and Autocraft Industries (including Autocraft Industries UK) names were folded into the ATC family.
2019
ATC acquired ATP Automotive Transmission Remanufacturing Specialists Limited, ATP Electronic Developments Limited and ATP Holdings USA, LLC.
ATC Drivetrain acquired Powertrain Company one of the the #1 sellers of remanufactured powertrain components in the USA.
ATC launched a joint venture with Luwote (Zhangjiagang) Power Remanufacturing Technology Co., Ltd. (“Luwote”) in Zhangjiagang, China.
2021
ATC Drivetrain acquired HL Smith Transmissions, the UK’s leading heavy commercial drivetrain remanufacturer.
2022
ATC Drivetrain acquired Treharne Automotive Engineering
and
Global Battery Solutions.
2023
ATC Drivetrain acquired Mack GmbH, a leading remanufacturing company in Europe, based in Waldenburg, Germany.
and
ATC Drivetrain establishes manufacturing operations in Knoxville, Tennessee.
2024
ATC expands its presence in Holland, Michigan with new EV battery and shipping/ fulfillment facilities.

ATC Brasil LTDA is established, providing remanufactured Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) for commercial trucks.
